Matthew Raphael Shackleton, father of 5, is an award winning building contractor with 20 years of experience. He has worked alongside some of the best architects in the south hams area including OHH Design, Will Hoare, Derry Owen Architects, Harrison Sutton Partnership and Rodrick James Architects.

 

He is the founder and director of Shackleton construction Ltd, a company that has an established reputation for build quality and reliability. 

 

Matt and his team specialise in timber frame buildings and work with only the finest tradesmen and subcontractors. Matt has also been responsible for successfully training and putting employees through the apprenticeship process over the years. 

 

He is a powerful force in the workplace and uses his forward planning and determination to keep momentum going, whilst his fastidious nature and artistic eye maintain high standards of work throughout the build process.

 

In 2020, OHH design and shackleton construction were announced the DBCp Building Excellence Award winners for Best agricultural conversion.
